Anthropic dropped its AI agent straight into Slack and it's not lurking in DMs anymore. The new tool, Claude Tag, lets anyone summon Claude into a group chat with a simple "@Claude." Once tagged, it reads the thread, breaks down tasks and here's the kicker proactively surfaces relevant updates without anyone asking. It remembers context over time, acting less like a tool and more like a teammate who never logs off.
This isn't a side experiment. It's Anthropic doubling down on the enterprise AI race a battlefield every major AI player is fighting to win. The bet is paying off: Anthropic's valuation just hit $965 billion, blowing past OpenAI's, fueled largely by business demand. The company also quietly filed confidentially for an IPO this month.
Currently in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers, with more platforms on the way. Admins keep full control over what data and tools Claude can touch in each channel — so it's powerful, but not unchecked.
Slack's GM Rob Seaman put it simply: this move is "making AI multiplayer." Instead of one person quietly chatting with AI in private, Claude now shows up where the whole team can see it and use it.
Anthropic's Cat Wu summed up the real unlock: "The capabilities did exist, but the form factor of tagging it like a coworker is really powerful."
My Take: AI isn't just answering your questions anymore it's sitting in the meeting.

Speculation spread that PS6 could slip to 2028 or 2029, fueled by a memory-chip shortage hitting the whole tech industry
Cause: AI data centers are eating up DRAM and NAND flash production, driving up component prices across laptops, GPUs and even Valve's Steam Machine
But hardware insider KeplerL2, known for accurate AMD and console leaks, says there's no real evidence Sony is changing course
Development is reportedly on schedule, with AMD collaboration and TSMC's supply chain both pointing to a 2027 launch.
Expected specs: next-gen AMD Zen CPU + RDNA GPU, stronger ray tracing, hardware AI acceleration, faster SSDs, native 4K/high frame rate support and better 8K + VR compatibility
My Take: The memory shortage is real, but so far it looks like noise rather than a roadblock, PS6 still seems to be tracking for 2027.
